Bogies has been back to playing in the Billiard Hall of Fame since the 2015-16 season, when he played with the team.
The Bogies are a long-time Billiard hall of famer, and while the new owner has made it clear he wants to build a world-class venue, the Bogies aren’t interested in playing for a living.
“The Billiard is a place where you can be yourself,” Bogies said.
“You can do whatever you want to do, so it’s very important for me that I have that opportunity.
I want to be a part of that.”
That opportunity comes at the beginning of the 2018-19 season, as Bogies takes over the club from current president Mike Miller.
Bogies and Miller will be looking to make it to the playoffs in 2019, as the Bogie’s have the second-best winning percentage in the NBA, just behind the Brooklyn Nets.
That said, the franchise hasn’t been quite able to find the consistency that they need over the last two seasons, so Bogies will need to be even better than he was before to help the Bogy’s get to the postseason.
“I think it’s going to be really good for the organization,” Bogles said.
The Billiard will host the annual Billiard Classic on July 31 and August 1, and Bogies hopes to host some more events over the next two years.
He said he would like to add more sports venues and more bars to the Billing Hall of Famer’s property, but he’s looking forward to playing with the Bogys.
“We’re just going to do what we can to make the Billingham a place that is as entertaining as possible,” Boges said.
